Most Derbyshire Gold Cards expire in March 2013. This does not mean Gold Card is being discontinued. But it does mean we need to send you a new card, and it's really important that we get cards to the right people at the correct address.
Next March may seem a long way off, but with around 180,000 Gold Card holders countywide to send new cards to we need to be thinking about the big reissue now.
This is where we need your help. We don't want to send cards to incorrect addresses or to people who no longer need them. So, we need you to tell us, as soon as you can, if your circumstances have changed since you were issued with your current Gold Card.
Your most likely change of circumstance is that you have moved, either within the same local district or borough council area, into another Derbyshire district or borough council area or out of Derbyshire altogether – but in all of these circumstances we need to know.
By telling us we can update your Gold Card details and make sure that your new card arrives in the right place and in plenty of time before your current Gold Card expires.
We don't want you to lose out on your Gold Card discounts – including £1 flat rate single fare Dial-a-Bus trips – or your free England-wide bus journeys, shop and library discounts.
There are several ways to let us know if your circumstances have changed. You can fill in a form online at www.derbyshire.gov.uk/goldcard (opens in a new window) or ask for help at your local library to complete this form. Or you can get in touch with your local district or borough council.
Please also tell us if you no longer need a card because of a change in disability, or if you know of someone else who no longer needs a card but is unable to let us know themselves.
