is part of the public transport system.  It provides a supplementary service to that already provided by mainstream operators.  Each scheme uses accessible vehicles that enable individuals to undertake journeys that most people take for granted. 

The vehicles are also available to community groups of all ages and abilities under Group Travel.

A 'door to town' transport service, for individuals who experience difficulties with conventional public transport. Fares on the Dial a Bus services are in line with Concessionary Rates and Gold Cards can be used'

Group Travel transport for groups affiliated to the schemes who are involved with community activities, for example Scouts, Schools, Luncheon Clubs and Church groups and other groups.

A flexible door to door service catering for individual needs e.g. transport to hospitals. This service is available for people with mobility problems or when there is no other transport .

Volunteers use their own vehicles to provide one-off essential journeys and are paid a mileage allowance. This service is only available to people who are unable to use public transport or who do not have access to a service.

volunteering is about helping other people in you community.  Anyone with time to spare can come along and get involved in some aspect of the organisation, why not become a volunteer passenger assistant or a volunteer driver for your group? Training will be given where necessary; people with new skills are always welcome'.

All Schemes provide in-house training for volunteers and in many cases, outside organisations and individuals.  Driver and Passenger Assistant training is to a recognised standard and is delivered by qualified trainers certified to deliver a comprehensive training programme.
